Let God Choreograph Your Life's Dance!
Welcome, Faith Force Divine Step Followers! Today, we’re learning how to let God direct every step we take and keep sin from taking control of our lives, as shared in Psalm 119:133.
Verse Of The Day:
"Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me." (Psalm 119:133)
Have you ever watched a perfectly choreographed dance where every step is planned and beautiful? The psalmist is asking God to choreograph his life the same way!
“Direct my footsteps according to your word” – this means asking God to guide every choice, every decision, and every step we take based on what His Word teaches us. Instead of wandering around confused or making random choices, we can ask God to lead us step by step according to His perfect plan found in the Bible.
The second part is equally important: “let no sin rule over me.” The psalmist doesn’t want sin to be the boss of his life! When we let God direct our steps according to His Word, sin can’t take control because we’re following God’s good directions instead. It’s like having the best dance instructor ever – when we follow God’s choreography, our life becomes beautiful, and we don’t stumble into sin’s traps!
God's Footstep Direction Map:
Take a large piece of paper (or tape several sheets together) and create your “God’s Footstep Direction Map”! Trace around your shoes to make footprint patterns and create a winding path across your paper. In each footprint, write good choices that follow God’s Word (like “Be Kind,” “Tell Truth,” “Help Others”). Add arrows showing the right direction and write “God Directs My Steps” along the path. Create some “Sin Traps” off the main path (drawn as mud puddles or holes) to show what happens when we don’t follow God’s direction. Practice walking along your paper path while saying the verse!
Time For A Prayer:
Dear God, please direct our footsteps according to Your Word! Help us make choices that follow Your perfect plan instead of wandering off on our own. Don't let sin rule over us, but keep us walking in Your good direction. Thank You for being willing to guide every step we take when we ask You to lead us according to Your Word! Amen.
