"Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." (Matthew 20:28)
Imagine if the greatest superhero instead of just saving the day, also helped people with their daily chores, listened to their problems, and put everyone else’s needs before their own. This superhero isn’t just from comic books; He’s real, and His name is Jesus. Matthew 20:28 tells us about Jesus’ mission on Earth—not to be treated like a king, but to serve others and even give His life for us.
This verse isn’t just a history lesson; it’s a call to action for all of us. It teaches us that true greatness isn’t about how many people serve us, but about how many people we serve. By helping and serving others, we follow in Jesus’ footsteps, showing His love in the most powerful way.
Service Scavenger Hunt:
Organize a “Service Scavenger Hunt” where you and your friends or family look for opportunities to help others around your community. This could be doing yard work for a neighbor, helping a sibling with homework, or volunteering at a local charity. Keep track of these acts of service in a journal or on a shared online document.

Lord Jesus, thank You for showing us the ultimate example of service and sacrifice. Help us to be more like You every day, looking for opportunities to serve others and spread Your love. Give us the courage to put others first and the joy that comes from serving. Amen.
