Imagine you’re a famous explorer searching for treasure. You find chests filled with gold, jewels, and all sorts of shiny things. But then, you discover a hidden treasure far more valuable—kindness, love, joy, and friendship. This is the kind of treasure Jesus talks about in Luke 12:15.
Jesus warns us to be careful not to get too caught up in wanting more and more stuff, thinking that’s what life is all about. Instead, He teaches us that the true riches are the good things we can’t put a price on—like spending time with family, helping a friend, or enjoying the beauty of nature. These heart treasures make our lives truly rich and full of joy.

Create your own Heart Treasure Box. Decorate a small box with drawings, stickers, or anything that represents the non-material treasures you value—like pictures of family, symbols of love, or words that remind you of joy and kindness. Inside, you can keep notes or drawings about happy moments, kind deeds, or things you’re thankful for. This box will be a reminder of the true riches in your life.

Dear God, help us to see the true treasures in life that aren't things we can buy or own. Teach us to cherish love, kindness, joy, and friendships, and to share these treasures with others. Thank You for reminding us what really matters. Amen.
