Confession Compass: Navigating Forgiveness
Verse Of The Day:
"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)
Think of your heart as a ship sailing on the ocean. Sometimes, it gets a bit messy with mistakes and wrong choices, kind of like when a ship collects barnacles as it travels through the sea. 1 John 1:9 tells us that when we tell God about our mistakes—this is called confessing—He helps clean our ship, making it shiny and new again.
This wonderful verse teaches us that everyone makes mistakes, but we don’t have to carry them around. By talking to God about them, we open up our hearts to His forgiveness, which cleans us and helps us start fresh. It’s like getting a reset button every time we need it!
Forgiveness Boat Craft:
Create a small boat from paper or any materials you like. On it, write things you want to ask forgiveness for. Then, in a safe place like a bathtub or a small pool, let your boat float away. As it sails, imagine God taking away those mistakes and making your heart light and free.

Dear God, thank you for always being ready to listen and forgive us. Help us to be honest about our mistakes and trust in Your great love to cleanse us. Guide us each day to be better and kinder, just like Jesus. Amen.
