Jesus: The Creator Who Holds It All Together!
Welcome, Faith Force Creation Scientists! Today, we’re learning Jesus’ role in creating and sustaining everything, as shared in Colossians 1:16-17.
Verse Of The Day:
"For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together." (Colossians 1:16-17)
Have you ever built something and wondered what holds it together? This verse reveals Jesus’ amazing double role in creation!
First, the creation part: “in him ALL things were created” – everything in existence! “Things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible” – from galaxies we can see to spiritual powers we can’t. Even more amazing: “all things have been created through him and FOR him” – Jesus didn’t just create everything, everything was made FOR His purposes!
Second, the sustaining part: “He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” Jesus existed before anything else, and right now He’s actively holding the entire universe together! Scientists talk about forces that hold atoms together and gravity that keeps planets in orbit – but ultimately, it’s Jesus holding everything in perfect working order!
Jesus Creates and Holds Creation Model:
Cut out a heart and write “Love Must Be Sincere” on the banner. Around the heart, add words like “Kindness,” “Devotion,” and “Honor.” Decorate it with bright colors and designs to remind yourself of God’s call to love sincerely.
Time For A Prayer:
Build a structure using magnetic blocks or LEGOs with one central piece labeled "JESUS." Add pieces around it labeled "Stars," "Earth," "Animals," "People." Try removing the Jesus piece and watch it fall apart! This shows Jesus both created everything AND holds it all together!
Dear Jesus, thank You for creating all things through Your power! Thank You that everything was made for Your purposes and glory. Thank You for holding all things together right now – from atoms to galaxies. Help us remember that without You, nothing would exist or continue! Amen.
