Solomon was the son of King David and Bathsheba, born after a time of great personal and national turmoil. When David was nearing the end of his reign, Solomon was chosen by God to succeed him as king. Solomon’s rule began with an important moment.

When the Israelites faced the threat of a powerful Canaanite general named Sisera, Deborah, guided by divine inspiration, called upon Barak, a military leader, to gather troops and challenge Sisera’s forces. Her leadership and prophetic guidance played a crucial role in Israel’s victory over the Canaanites, establishing her as one of the most esteemed leaders in biblical history.
