Mission Briefing
Have you ever felt like God was keeping secrets – like His plans were locked away somewhere you couldn’t reach? Ephesians 1:8 says the opposite is true. God, “with all wisdom and understanding, made known to us the mystery of His will.” He doesn’t hide from you. He actually wants to let you in. With overflowing wisdom and understanding, He opens up what was once a mystery and shares it with His people.
Think about the difference between a teacher who lets you struggle alone versus one who pulls up a chair and walks you through every step. God is the second kind. He doesn’t stand back and watch you guess. He comes close, He speaks, He reveals. The more you seek Him – through His Word, through prayer, through paying attention – the more He makes known. He’s not withholding. He’s waiting to share.
What Does Ephesians 1:8 Mean?
Wisdom isn’t just for grown-ups or theologians or people who have been following God for decades. God reveals His will to those who genuinely seek it – and that includes you, right now, at your age, in your life. When you come to God with an open heart and honest questions, He meets you there. He pours out wisdom generously. You just have to show up and ask.
Mission Activity
On a piece of paper, write at the top: “God, what do You want me to know?” Underneath, write 3 honest questions you have for God right now – about your life, your future, something confusing. Then spend 5 minutes reading one short passage from the Psalms or Proverbs. Write down any thought or phrase that stands out. That’s God beginning to answer.

Dear God, thank You that You don't hide from me. You want me to know Your plans and Your heart. Help me to seek You so I can understand more of what You're doing in my life and in the world. Give me the wisdom and understanding that only comes from You. Amen.
