Daniel
Daniel was a young Hebrew man taken into captivity by the Babylonian empire when King Nebuchadnezzar besieged Jerusalem. Along with other young men, Daniel was chosen to be trained in the ways of the Babylonians to serve in the king’s court. Despite being in a foreign land, Daniel remained true to his faith, refusing to defile himself with the king’s food and wine.
Joseph

Joseph, the eleventh son of Jacob and the firstborn of his beloved wife Rachel, was favored by his father, who gave him a coat of many colors. This favoritism incited jealousy among his brothers, leading them to sell him into slavery in Egypt.
