Mission Briefing
Honorable in Every Direction
What if you could only choose one – would you rather impress people or please God? Paul says real integrity means we don’t have to choose, because we aim to live honorably in BOTH directions at the same time! This mission explores 2 Corinthians 8:21.
What Does 2 Corinthians 8:21 Mean?
Paul was handling a large gift of money being collected for struggling believers, and he wanted to make sure everything was done transparently – no suspicion, no shortcuts. He says they aimed to be honorable before both God and people. This isn’t about people-pleasing; it’s about having nothing to hide. When you live with integrity, your actions hold up to God’s eyes AND to people’s eyes – because they’re the same actions either way.
Hero Challenge
This week, before you do something, ask yourself two questions: “Would God be pleased with this?” and “Would I be okay if my parents or teachers could see exactly what I’m doing?” If both answers are yes – go ahead. If either one is no – reconsider.
Did You Know?
Paul was collecting money for believers in Jerusalem who were going through a very hard time. He was so careful about handling this money honestly that he made sure multiple trustworthy people were involved – not just himself. This shows that integrity also means being transparent with others, especially when handling responsibilities that belong to the whole community.

Should we behave well even when we think no one is watching? (Yes! God always sees us.)
Ages 7-9: Growing Hero Question
Why is it important to be honorable both in front of God AND in front of other people?
Ages 10-13: Champion Question
Is there a difference between living for God’s approval and craving human approval? How do you keep those in the right balance?
♥ Mission Prayer
Father, help me to live honorably — before You and before the people in my life. I want my actions to be something I never have to hide or be ashamed of. Amen.
