Mission Briefing
One Call Changes Everything!
Imagine you had a direct line to the most powerful Person in the universe, and all you had to do was call. Well – you do! Romans 10:13 says that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. That means you, your friends, your family – everyone!
What Does Romans 10:13 Mean?
“Saved” here means rescued – from sin, from being separated from God, and from living without His love and power in your life. And the amazing thing? The door is open to EVERYONE. It doesn’t matter what you’ve done, where you come from, or how old you are. When you call on God’s name – when you turn to Him in faith and say, “I need You, Jesus” – He answers. Every time.
Hero Challenge
Do you know someone who doesn’t know about calling on God’s name? This week, pray for that person by name and ask God for a chance to tell them about His open invitation. You could also write them a note or have a simple conversation about faith. You might be the person God uses to open a door for them!
Did You Know?
Paul is quoting from the Old Testament prophet Joel in this verse (Joel 2:32) – which means this promise is thousands of years old! God had always planned for His invitation to be open to everyone. The word “everyone” in the original Greek is “pas” – and it really does mean every single person. No one is excluded from this invitation.
Ages 4-6: Little Hero Question
Do you know you can talk to God anytime? What is something you want to say to Him right now?
Ages 7-9: Growing Hero Question
“Everyone” who calls will be saved – who does that include? Is there anyone left out? What does that make you feel?
Ages 10-13: Champion Question
Paul says people need to call on God’s name, but they also need to hear about Him first. How does that make you think about sharing your faith with others who haven’t heard yet?
♥ Mission Prayer
Lord, thank You that Your door is always open and everyone who calls on Your name will be saved. I call on You today! Help me to remember how amazing that is, and give me courage to share this good news with someone else. Amen.
