Overflowing Blessings: Living in God’s Goodness
Verse Of The Day:
"You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." (Psalm 23:5-6)
Imagine walking into a room and seeing a huge table set with all your favorite foods, prepared just for you. That’s the kind of love and care God shows us! In Psalm 23:5-6, David describes how God takes care of us, even when things around us might be tough. God blesses us so much that it’s like our cup is overflowing with good things!
God doesn’t just give us a little bit of love—He pours it out, filling our lives with more than we can imagine. Even when we face hard times or challenges, God is right there, providing for us, protecting us, and filling us with His goodness and love. He promises that His blessings will follow us every single day of our lives.
And the best part? We get to live in God’s house forever! This means that we can always be close to God, not just now, but for all of eternity. When we trust in God, we know that His goodness will never run out, and His love will always be with us.
Overflowing Cup Craft:
Create an “Overflowing Cup” craft at home! Get a small cup or jar and decorate it with words and pictures that remind you of God’s blessings, like “Love,” “Kindness,” “Forgiveness,” and “Protection.” You can use stickers, markers, or drawings to make it bright and cheerful. Each day, write down one thing you’re thankful for and place it inside the cup. Watch as your cup overflows with blessings, just like God’s love overflows in our lives! This activity helps kids focus on the many ways God takes care of them.

Dear God, thank You for filling our lives with Your love and blessings. Help us to remember that even when things are hard, You are with us, providing for us and giving us more than we could ever need. May our hearts overflow with thankfulness and joy, knowing that Your goodness follows us every day. Amen.
