Psalms 139:11-12
Light Bearers: Illuminated by God’s Presence
Verse Of The Day:
"If I say, 'Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,' even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you." (Psalms 139:11-12)
Imagine being in a room so dark you can’t see your hand in front of your face. Now, picture a light so bright that it instantly dispels every shadow, turning midnight into noon. Psalms 139:11-12 describes God’s presence as this incredible light, revealing that with Him, there is no such thing as darkness.
This passage reminds us that we can never be hidden from God’s sight, nor can any situation in our lives be too dark for His light to penetrate. It encourages us to find comfort in His omnipresence and to trust that, no matter how dark things may seem, God’s light can transform our darkness into daylight.
Illumination Jars:
Create “Illumination Jars” by decorating clear jars with translucent paints and filling them with battery-operated lights. Each jar represents how God’s light can transform the dark areas of our lives. Use these jars as night lights in your home or during prayer times as a visual reminder of God’s ever-present light.
Time For A Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the comforting truth that no darkness can obscure Your presence. Help us to walk confidently in Your light, knowing that You see all and illuminate every path we take. May we reflect Your radiant love and truth in our lives. Amen.
