Have you ever seen your parents smile with pride when you do something good, like helping a friend, sharing, or being kind? That’s because your actions can fill their hearts with joy! Proverbs 23:24 tells us that when we live wisely and make good choices, it brings happiness to our parents.

God gives us parents to guide us and teach us how to live in a way that honors Him. When we listen to their advice, follow God’s teachings, and do what’s right, we’re not just making our parents happy—we’re also making God happy! It’s like giving them a special gift that they can carry in their hearts.

Living wisely means doing what’s right, even when it’s hard. It means being kind, honest, and responsible, and thinking about how our actions affect others. When we choose to live this way, we bring joy not only to our parents but to everyone around us. And most importantly, we show God that we love Him and want to follow His ways.

Joy Jar:

Create a “Joy Jar” at home! Find a jar or a small box and decorate it with words like “Joy,” “Love,” and “Wisdom.” Throughout the week, every time you do something that you think would make your parents proud—like helping out at home, being kind to a sibling, or doing your homework without being asked—write it down on a small piece of paper and place it in the jar. At the end of the week, share what’s in the jar with your parents and talk about how your wise choices bring joy to them and to God. This activity helps kids see the impact of their actions and encourages them to keep making good choices.

Time For A Prayer:

Dear God, thank You for giving us parents who love us and guide us. Help us to live wisely and make choices that bring joy to their hearts. Teach us to be kind, loving, and responsible in everything we do. May our actions always reflect Your love and make our parents proud, just as You are proud of us. Amen.

Keep bringing joy, Faith Force Joyful Children! Until our next Divine Dispatch, remember that your wise choices not only make your parents happy but also honor God. Let’s continue to live in a way that spreads joy and love to everyone around us.
