Lending to God by Helping the Poor!
Welcome, Faith Force Compassion Heroes! Today, we’re learning that helping people in need is like lending to God Himself, as shared in Proverbs 19:17.
Verse Of The Day:
"Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done." (Proverbs 19:17)

Have you ever lent something to a friend, knowing they’d give it back? This verse teaches us something amazing about helping people who are poor or in need!
“Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord” – when you help someone who doesn’t have much, it’s like you’re actually lending to God! Think about that – giving food to a hungry person, sharing clothes with someone who needs them, or helping someone who’s struggling isn’t just nice. It’s like doing it directly for God Himself!
But here’s the best part: “he will reward them for what they have done.” When you lend something to someone, you expect to get it back, right? God says when you help the poor, He personally promises to reward you! You’re not just helping a person – you’re lending to the Creator of the universe, and He always pays back what He owes.
God cares deeply about people who are poor, hungry, or struggling. When we show kindness to them, we’re showing love to the people God loves most. And God never forgets kindness shown to those in need!
Lending to God Kindness Tracker
Create a simple chart with two columns: “How I Helped Someone in Need” and “I Lent This to God!” This week, do at least THREE kind things for people who need help – share your lunch with someone who forgot theirs, give clothes you’ve outgrown to someone who needs them, help someone carry heavy things, or donate to a food bank. Write each act of kindness on your tracker and remember – you’re lending to God, and He will reward you!
Time For A Prayer:
Dear God, help us be kind to people who are poor or in need! Thank You for the amazing promise that when we help them, it's like lending to You. Help us see people who are struggling and show them Your love. Thank You for promising to reward us for caring about those in need! Amen.
Keep lending to God by helping others, Faith Force Compassion Heroes! Until our next Divine Dispatch, remember that whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord!
