Mission Briefing
The One Who Defeats Death
Jesus asked one of the boldest questions ever: “Do you believe this?” He was not just making a promise – He was making the most powerful claim in all of history, and He wants you to answer that question too! This mission explores John 11:25-26.
What Does John 11:25-26 Mean?
Jesus was talking to a woman named Martha, whose brother Lazarus had just died. Jesus told her that He is the resurrection – the One who brings people back to life – and He is also the life itself. Anyone who believes in Jesus has a life that death cannot destroy. This is not just about one day rising from the dead; it is about having real, lasting life with God that starts right now and never ends.
Hero Challenge
Write down your answer to Jesus’s question: “Do you believe this?” in your own words. Make it personal – write it as if you are talking directly to Him. Then share your answer with a parent, sibling, or friend who follows God.
Did You Know?
Right after this conversation, Jesus went to Lazarus’s tomb and raised him from the dead – a miracle so powerful that many people who saw it believed in Jesus on the spot! Jesus did not just talk about resurrection; He proved it. And a little while later, He proved it again with His own life.
Ages 4-6: Little Hero Question
Jesus said He is the Life. What do you think it means to have Jesus living in your heart?
Ages 7-9: Growing Hero Question
Jesus asked Martha, “Do you believe this?” What would you say to Jesus if He asked you that same question right now?
Ages 10-13: Champion Question
Knowing that Jesus is the resurrection and the life, how should that truth change the way you think about fear, the future, or even death itself?
♥ Mission Prayer
