One in Christ: Every Label Fades
Imagine if every wall, every dividing line, every label that separates people just… disappeared. That’s what Paul says happens when people belong to Jesus. In Christ, we are all one – and that changes everything! This mission explores Galatians 3:28.
What Does Galatians 3:28 Mean?
In Paul’s day, society was built on powerful divisions – your nationality, whether you were enslaved or free, and your gender all determined how you were treated and what you were allowed to do. Paul makes an earth-shaking statement: in Christ, those divisions don’t define us anymore. We are all equally loved, equally valued, and equally part of God’s family. This isn’t about pretending differences don’t exist – it’s about saying those differences don’t determine your worth.
Hero Challenge
Look around your school, neighborhood, or community and find someone who is often left out because of a label – a different background, ability, or personality. Make one intentional effort to include them this week, and remind yourself: in God’s eyes, this person is equally loved and valued.
Did You Know?
In the ancient world, Jewish men would often pray a prayer thanking God they were not born a Gentile, a slave, or a woman. Paul’s statement in Galatians 3:28 was a radical overturning of that kind of thinking. He was saying: the ground is level at the foot of the cross. No one has a head start with God based on who they were born.

Do you think God loves some people more than others? What does this verse tell us?
Ages 7-9: Growing Hero Question
Why do you think people sometimes treat others differently because of where they come from or what they look like – and what does God think about that?
Ages 10-13: Champion Question
Paul says we are “all one in Christ Jesus.” What is the difference between saying everyone is the same and saying everyone is equally valued? Why does that distinction matter?

♥ Mission Prayer
Lord, help me see every person the way You see them — equally loved, equally valued, equally Yours. Take away any part of my heart that treats some people as less. Amen.
