Mission Briefing
Christ Lives in Me – What a Mission!
Imagine having the most powerful, wisest, most loving being in the universe actually living inside you, guiding you every single day. That’s not a science fiction story – that’s what Paul says happens when you follow Jesus!
What Does This Mean?
Paul wrote this amazing sentence to describe what happens when someone puts their trust in Jesus. Our old way of living – just doing whatever WE want all the time – is replaced by a new life where Jesus is at the center. It doesn’t mean Paul stopped being Paul – he still had his personality, his gifts, his quirks. But now everything he did was powered by his faith in Jesus, who loved him and gave everything for him. The same is true for us!
Hero Challenge
Before making a decision this week – big or small – pause and ask: “What would it look like if Christ is living in me right now?” Try it with a tough choice at school, a moment of anger, or a chance to be kind. Living by faith means checking in with Jesus before you act!
Did You Know?
Paul wrote Galatians 2:20 in the middle of a really heated argument about what it truly means to follow God. Some people were saying you had to follow a long list of rules to be acceptable to God. Paul shot back with this stunning truth: it’s not about rules at all – it’s about a living relationship with Jesus. Christ in us is the key to everything!
Ages 4-6: Little Hero Question
Jesus loves you SO much that He wants to be with you always – even inside your heart! Can you ask Jesus to help you be kind and brave today?
Ages 7-9: Growing Hero Question
Paul says it is “no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.” What do you think that means? How might your day look different if you let Jesus lead your choices?
Ages 10-13: Champion Question
Galatians 2:20 is one of the most powerful identity statements in the whole Bible. How does knowing that Christ lives in you change how you handle pressure, temptation, and failure in your everyday life?
♥ Mission Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for loving me so much that You gave Yourself for me. Help me to live today in the power of that love — with You at the center of everything I do. May it be Christ who lives in me.
