Mission Briefing

You Are Already Blessed With Everything!

Did you know that if you follow Jesus, you are already loaded up with incredible blessings – right now, today? You don’t have to wait or earn them. God has already poured out every spiritual blessing on you in Christ! This mission is about discovering what you already have and learning to live from that place of abundance. This mission explores Ephesians 1:3.

What Does Ephesians 1:3 Mean?

Paul opens his letter to the Ephesians with this explosion of praise! He says God has blessed us “with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places” – meaning all the spiritual riches that exist in God’s kingdom are already given to us because we are in Christ. “In Christ” is a phrase Paul uses constantly to mean we are connected to Jesus like a branch to a vine. Because of that connection, everything God has for us flows into us. Forgiveness, peace, purpose, identity, power – it’s all already ours!

Hero Challenge

Make a “Spiritual Blessings” list! Write down five things God has already given you because of your faith – like forgiveness, purpose, the Holy Spirit, eternal life, or belonging to His family. Read the list out loud and let it remind you of how rich you already are in God’s eyes!

Did You Know?

The book of Ephesians was written by Paul while he was in prison, yet the letter is absolutely overflowing with praise and joy! It’s believed Ephesians was written as a circular letter – meaning it was passed from one church to another across the region. Paul wanted every faith community to know just how rich they were in Christ.

Ages 4-6: Little Hero Question

The Bible says God has already given us every spiritual blessing. Can you name one blessing God has given you? (Hint: Jesus, family, and breath are great answers!)

Ages 7-9: Growing Hero Question

What does it mean to be blessed “in Christ”? How does being connected to Jesus change what we have access to?

Ages 10-13: Champion Question

Paul says we’ve been blessed with “every” spiritual blessing – nothing is held back. How does that truth change the way you approach God in prayer – from a place of asking for things you hope He’ll give, to thanking Him for what He’s already given?
