Ecclesiastes 7:8

Why Patience Always Wins and Endings Rock!

Welcome, Faith Force Patient Finishers! Today, we’re discovering why the end of something is often much better than the beginning, and why patience always beats pride, as shared in Ecclesiastes 7:8.

Verse Of The Day:

"The end of a matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than pride." (Ecclesiastes 7:8)

Have you ever started a puzzle and felt frustrated because it looked like a messy pile of pieces, but then felt amazing when you placed the final piece? That’s exactly what this verse teaches us!

“The end of a matter is better than its beginning” – most great things start out looking messy, difficult, or even impossible! When you first learned to ride a bike, it was wobbly and scary, but once you mastered it, the end result was so much better than those first attempts. The same thing happens with learning to read, making friends, or any challenging project.

The second part is equally powerful: “patience is better than pride.” Pride says, “I want it now and I want it perfect immediately!” But patience says, “I’m willing to work slowly and learn step by step.” Patient people end up with better results because they take time to do things right. Proud people often rush and miss out on the amazing endings that come to those who wait and work patiently!

Before and After Project Journal:

Take a spiral notebook and create your “Before and After Project Journal”! For any project you’re working on (learning an instrument, a school subject, a sport, or even cleaning your room), draw or write about how it looks at the beginning on the left page, then track your progress until you can show the amazing “after” result on the right page. Add dates and write “Patience is Better Than Pride” at the top of each set of pages. This shows you that endings really are better than beginnings when you stick with something patiently!

Time For A Prayer:

Dear God, help us remember that the end of a matter is better than its beginning! When things start out hard or messy, give us patience to keep going instead of giving up. Help us choose patience over pride, knowing that the best results come to those who work slowly and carefully. Thank You for all the amazing endings You have planned for us! Amen.

Keep working patiently toward amazing endings, Faith Force Patient Finishers! Until our next Divine Dispatch, remember that the end is better than the beginning, and patience is always better than pride!
