Keep Your Conscience in Perfect Working Order!

Welcome, Faith Force Conscience Inspectors! Today, we’re learning about maintaining a clear conscience, as shared in Acts 24:16.

Verse Of The Day:

"So I strive always to keep my conscience clear before God and man." (Acts 24:16)

Have you ever watched a car pass inspection because the owner took good care of it? Paul treats his conscience the same way!

Paul says “I strive always” – this isn’t something he does occasionally, but constantly works at, like maintaining a car that needs to pass inspection every day. The goal is “to keep my conscience clear” – having no guilt, shame, or hidden wrong that makes his heart feel heavy or troubled.

Notice the double standard: “before God and man.” Paul doesn’t just worry about what God thinks or just what people think – he maintains integrity in both directions! His conscience passes inspection from heaven’s perspective (God sees his heart and motives) AND from earth’s perspective (people see his actions and words). That takes constant “striving” – daily maintenance to keep everything in perfect working order!

Clear Conscience Inspection Checklist:

Create your daily “Conscience Inspection Checklist” using a clipboard and paper! Make sections for “Clear Before God” (prayer, Bible reading, confessing sins) and “Clear Before People” (keeping promises, being honest, treating others kindly). Each night, check off whether your conscience passes inspection in both areas!

Time For A Prayer:

Dear God, help us strive always to keep our consciences clear before You and before people! Give us wisdom to maintain our hearts like careful owners maintaining valuable vehicles. When our conscience feels heavy, help us make things right quickly. Keep us passing inspection every single day! Amen.

Keep your conscience passing daily inspection, Faith Force Conscience Inspectors! Until our next Divine Dispatch, remember to strive always to keep your conscience clear before God and man!
