Show Notes

The Lost April Adventure – There is a kind of giving up that looks completely reasonable. When something has gone badly wrong and your body hurts and the goal feels impossible from where you are lying – quitting does not feel like quitting. It feels like common sense. Perseverance is the virtue that shows up anyway.

Jessie is on bed-rest after a rattlesnake bite. The ranch is not waiting. The work is not waiting. And Jessie has to figure out what it means to keep going when keeping going looks completely different from what he planned. In just over two minutes – one of the shortest episodes, one of the most honest lessons.

What your child takes away from this episode:

  • Perseverance does not always mean pushing through – sometimes it means finding the smaller step that keeps you in the game
  • What it looks like to set mini-goals when the big goal is out of reach
  • A family perseverance challenge for this week

Two minutes. Perfect for before school, in the car, or any morning when your child needs a reminder that small steps still count.
