Your child knows what fear feels like. They know the moment when the right thing to do is clear – and the fear of doing it is equally clear. What they may not yet know is that courage is not the absence of that fear. It is the decision made right in the middle of it.
A thunderstorm. A ravine. An injured wild mustang that no one else knows is there. Jessie did not plan to be the one who had to act – but here he is.
