Sarah

Sarah, originally named Sarai, was married to Abraham. She longed for children, but for many years, she was unable to conceive. At the age of 90, when both she and Abraham were well beyond childbearing years, God made a miraculous promise that she would bear a son. Sarah initially doubted this promise, laughing at the thought of having a child in her old age.

Isaac

Isaac, the son of Abraham and Sarah, was a child of promise, born when his parents were very old. His birth was a direct answer to God’s promise to Abraham that he would be the father of many nations. Isaac’s story is deeply intertwined with God’s covenant with Abraham.
