Show Notes
Faith is easier to talk about than to live. Talking about it costs nothing. Living it usually costs something – often at the worst possible moment, in the middle of a situation you did not choose and cannot control. That is where real faith gets built.
A swollen river. A thunderstorm. Ranch hands and cattle that need to get across, and Jessie is the one who has to lead. He cannot see the bottom of the river. He cannot guarantee it will be okay. He can only decide whether he trusts what he knows deeply enough to take the first step. In four minutes, your child hears what that looks and sounds like from the inside.
What your child takes away from this episode:
- What it means to lead when you are not certain – and why that is different from being reckless
- That faith is a practiced thing, built from smaller decisions before the big one arrives
- A family faith challenge to try together this week
Press play – and talk about it after. Ask your child: when was the last time they had to trust something they could not see?
