Welcome, Faith Force Character Builders! Today, we’re discovering how God uses difficult times to build amazing character in us, as taught in Romans 5:3-4.
Verse Of The Day:
"Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope." (Romans 5:3-4)
Have you ever wondered if there’s any good that comes from hard times? Romans 5:3-4 shows us God’s amazing plan for turning tough times into something beautiful!
This passage teaches us about God’s four-step character-building process. First, “suffering” happens—difficult times that we don’t enjoy. Second, suffering “produces perseverance”—we learn to keep going even when things are hard! Third, perseverance builds “character”—we become stronger, kinder, and more like Jesus. Finally, character produces “hope”—confident trust that God will work everything out perfectly.
How amazing that God doesn’t waste our difficult moments! Instead of just getting through hard times, we can actually grow through them. Each challenging experience is helping build the kind of strong, hopeful character that will bless us and others for years to come.

Dear God, thank You for using even difficult times to build strong character in us. Help us remember that when we face suffering, You are teaching us perseverance. As we persevere, help us grow in godly character, and let that character fill us with hope for the future. Thank You for never wasting our struggles but using them to make us stronger. Amen.
