Mission Briefing
Jesus Is Coming – And He Remembers Everything
Have you ever done something kind that nobody saw, or did the right thing even when it was hard and nobody noticed? Jesus says: “I see it. And I’m bringing a reward.” These are some of the last words Jesus spoke in the whole Bible – and they matter! This mission explores Revelation 22:12.
What Does Revelation 22:12 Mean?
Jesus says He is coming “soon” – and when He comes, He is bringing a reward with Him. The word “recompense” means a payback or reward based on what each person has done. This is both an exciting and a serious truth: every act of kindness, faithfulness, and obedience is seen and remembered by God. It also reminds us that our choices now matter for eternity – so living well today is never wasted.
Hero Challenge
Do one secret act of kindness this week – something nobody will see except God. Don’t tell anyone about it. Let it be just between you and Jesus, a reminder that He sees everything you do for His name.
Did You Know?
Revelation 22:12 is near the very end of the entire Bible – just a few verses from the last page! Jesus repeats the phrase “I am coming soon” three times in this final chapter alone, emphasizing how urgent and certain His return is. The Bible ends with a resounding promise that Jesus is on His way.
Ages 4-6: Little Hero Question
If Jesus sees everything you do, what is one kind thing you want Him to see you do today?
Ages 7-9: Growing Hero Question
Why do you think Jesus mentions bringing rewards when He returns? What does that tell you about how God feels about the way we live?
Ages 10-13: Champion Question
Knowing that Jesus will reward each person for what they have done – does that change your motivation for doing good? Should we do good for the reward, or for another reason?
♥ Mission Prayer
Jesus, thank You for seeing every good thing I do, even when no one else notices. Help me to live faithfully every day because I love You and I know You are coming soon. Amen.
