Mission Briefing
The Day Everything Becomes New
Have you ever cried so hard that you just wished someone would make everything okay again? One day, God will do something so incredible – He will personally wipe every tear from your eyes and make all sad things come untrue! This mission explores Revelation 21:4.
What Does Revelation 21:4 Mean?
The book of Revelation ends with an incredible vision of a new heaven and new earth – a perfect world remade by God. In this new world, every source of pain and sadness will be completely gone. No more death, no more funerals, no more crying from hurt or loss, no more sickness or suffering. God Himself will gently wipe tears from the faces of His people – a deeply personal and loving image. “The former things have passed away” means all the hard stuff of this broken world is done forever!
Hero Challenge
This week, let the hope of Revelation 21:4 fuel your compassion. When you see someone who is hurting or crying, be a little picture of God’s comfort – offer kindness, a listening ear, or simply your presence. And when you face your own hard moments, hold onto the promise that this is not the end of the story!
Did You Know?
Revelation 21:4 is one of the most beloved and comforting verses in the entire Bible, often read at funerals and in times of great grief. The book of Revelation was written during a time when early followers of Jesus were facing intense suffering and persecution. John’s vision of the new earth was meant to give them courage to keep going – because no matter how bad things got, God’s final word was not pain and death, but life and joy and a loving God wiping away every tear.
