God Reaches Down and Lifts You Up!
Have you ever felt stuck – like you were in a hole you couldn’t get out of, and no one was coming? David felt exactly like that. But then something amazing happened: God bent down, heard his cry, and pulled him out. He’ll do the same for you!
What Does This Mean?
David described his trouble as a “pit” and a “miry bog” – that’s like quicksand mixed with mud. He felt completely trapped. But he waited on God patiently, and God heard him! The picture of God setting David’s feet on a rock means God moved him from an unstable, sinking place to something solid and secure. When God rescues you, He doesn’t just get you out of trouble – He sets you on firm ground so you can move forward with confidence!
Hero Challenge
Write down something that has felt like a “pit” or a “stuck” place in your life lately – a hard situation, a fear, or a problem you can’t fix on your own. Then write a prayer asking God to reach in and lift you out. Keep that prayer somewhere you can find it later, so you can see how God answered!
Did You Know?
The Psalms are some of the most honest writings in the entire Bible. David didn’t pretend to be fine – he cried out when he was hurting. And God honored that honesty. In the Bible, crying out to God is never weakness – it is faith! It takes courage to admit you need help and to believe God will come through.

God, sometimes I feel stuck and don't know how to get out. Thank You that You hear my cry and You reach down to help me. Set my feet on solid ground today and help me trust that You are always working, even when I can't see it. Amen.
