Mission Briefing

God Will Give You Everything You Truly Need

Have you ever worried about whether you’ll have enough? Maybe you worried about food, or a friend, or something scary happening. This mission comes with one of the most comforting promises in the whole Bible – God will supply every single need you have! Not some needs. Every need. That’s a promise worth holding onto! This mission explores Philippians 4:19.

What Does Philippians 4:19 Mean?

Paul wrote this verse to a church that had helped him financially while he was in prison. He wanted them to know that because they had been generous to him, God would be generous to them. The word “supply” means to fill up completely – like filling a glass all the way to the top. God doesn’t supply from leftover scraps; He supplies from His “riches in glory,” which means His endless treasure. That’s a God we can trust completely!

Hero Challenge

Write down three things you’re worried or uncertain about this week. Next to each one, write a short prayer trusting God to meet that need. Keep the list somewhere you can see it and check back at the end of the week to see how God showed up!

Did You Know?

Paul wrote the book of Philippians while he was under house arrest in Rome – chained to a guard! Even in that difficult situation, the letter is one of the most joyful books in the entire Bible. Paul had learned to be content in all circumstances because he trusted God completely. His faith was so strong that even chains couldn’t stop his praise!

Ages 4-6: Little Hero Question

Who does the Bible say will give us everything we need? Can you say thank You to God for one thing He gave you today?

Ages 7-9: Growing Hero Question

There’s a difference between a “want” and a “need.” Can you think of two examples of each? How does knowing God supplies our needs help us worry less about our wants?

Ages 10-13: Champion Question

Paul said God supplies from “his riches in glory” – an unlimited supply. How does focusing on God’s unlimited resources change the way you handle worry, fear, or uncertainty about the future?

♥ Mission Prayer

Lord, thank You for promising to supply everything I truly need. Help me to trust You when I feel worried, and to remember that Your riches never run out. Amen.
