Faith Force
David Courage Starter Pack

He was the youngest. He was forgotten in a field. He became the most courageous man in the Bible.

Five story-driven hero missions that teach your child what real courage, real friendship, and real integrity actually look like from the inside out.

For faith-filled parents, and for any parent who wants their child to grow up knowing that strength is a choice - not a superpower.

Yes - Give My Child This

You are not raising a child in a world that makes character easy to teach.

You want your child to have a framework for courage - not just the word, but the feeling of it. You want them to know that being honest when it costs you something is braver than any physical feat. You want them to look at a hard moment and think: I know what to do here. But the role models available to them are thin. The stories they are getting are loud and shallow and forgotten by Tuesday.

You already know this feeling. You have sat with your child at bedtime and thought: I want to give them something that actually sticks. Something that goes deeper than “be kind” and “tell the truth.” You want them to understand the why behind the values. And you want it to feel like a story, not a lecture - because you know, as well as anyone, that the stories are the ones that last.

This Is What We Built It For

Faith Force is a hero journey platform built for parents who believe their children deserve more than rules - they deserve stories.

The missions inside this pack were written by Elani, a parent and researcher who has spent years studying what actually shapes character in children, and building a framework around the heroes of the Bible - not as distant, perfect figures, but as flawed, specific, deeply human people who made real choices under real pressure.

This starter pack is the first product we have built to go deeper. We made it for you.

What Is Inside the Pack

Mission 01
David’s Courage
Courage

A boy. A giant. Five smooth stones - and he only ever planned to use one. This mission drops your child into the moment David walks toward what everyone else ran from, not because he was fearless, but because he decided he was ready anyway. If your kid has ever felt too small for something that matters, this one is for them.

Mission 02
David’s Faith
Faith

Seven brothers lined up. Seven brothers passed over. Then someone remembered there was still a boy in the field. This mission follows David from forgotten to chosen - and asks the question every child (and every parent) quietly carries: what if the most important person in the room hasn’t been noticed yet? It might just be your child.

Mission 03
David’s Leadership
Integrity

David is hiding in a cave. His enemy is asleep three feet away. He could end it - and he doesn’t. This mission is about the moment David proved that power and restraint are not opposites. Your child will never look at strength the same way after this one.

Mission 04
David and Jonathan: A Friendship That Would Not Break
Loyalty

A prince takes off his royal robe and puts it on a shepherd boy’s shoulders. No contract. No guarantee. Just a choice. This mission shows your child what it actually looks like to be a real friend - the kind that gives something, risks something, and stays anyway. A rare thing. Worth teaching young.

Mission 05
David’s Repentance: The Bravest Thing He Ever Did
Honesty

Five words. No excuses. No spin. Just - I have sinned against the Lord. David faced giants with a sling and armies with a sword, but nothing he ever did took more courage than this moment. This mission teaches your child that telling the truth when you could have gotten away with the lie is not weakness. It is the hardest kind of brave.

Plus Three Bonuses

Bonus 1 - Printable, Ages 6–12
Courage in Action Activity Sheet

A hands-on printable that helps your child identify a real moment in their own life where courage is being asked of them - and map out what they could do. Not a worksheet. A thinking tool. Something they fill in and keep.

Bonus 2 - Printable, One Per Mission
Five Mission Memory Verse Cards

One verse per mission, formatted and ready to print, cut, and put somewhere your child will see it. On the fridge. In their backpack. On the bedroom wall. The kind of words that come back to them years later when they need them.

Bonus 3 - Direct Link Included
Access to David’s Faith Mission (Gated Content)

David’s Faith mission is live on Faith Force and normally accessible only to registered community members. Your pack includes direct access - no signup required.

What Your Child Gets

You Might Be Wondering

Is this too religious for our family?

The David missions are drawn directly from the Bible - that is the source material, and we do not hide it. What you will find inside is not a sermon. It is a story. The virtues David demonstrates are not exclusively religious virtues. They are the ones every parent wants their child to carry. If your family does not have a faith background, you are still welcome here.

What age is this for?

The missions are designed to be read together - parent and child, side by side. Accessible to strong readers from around age eight, and with your voice guiding it, works beautifully from age six. For older children (ten to twelve), the discussion prompts go deeper. If you have a seven-year-old and a ten-year-old, read it together. Both will take something different from it.

Will my child actually engage with this?

Every mission was written to feel like a story first. The format is immersive - your child is placed in the scene. The discussion questions come after the story has already done its work. The children who are most resistant to lessons are often the ones who respond most strongly to this format - because it does not feel like school.

You have been looking for something like this. Something that goes deeper than a poster on the wall or a list of rules to memorize. Something your child will actually remember - not because you told them to, but because a story reached inside and left something there.

David was a shepherd boy who became a king, and the path between those two things was built out of choices. Courage when he was afraid. Restraint when he had every right to act. Honesty when it cost him everything. Those choices are teachable. This is how you teach them.
