Micah 6:8

Justice Journey: Walking Humbly with God

Welcome, Faith Force Justice Journeyers! Today, we’re learning about what God really wants from us: to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with Him, as shared in Micah 6:8.

Verse Of The Day:

"He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." (Micah 6:8)

Micah 6:8 Image

Imagine you’re on a long journey with a map that shows you the way to go. But this isn’t just any journey—it’s a journey with God! Micah 6:8 tells us exactly how to walk this path with God: by doing what is right (acting justly), showing kindness to others (loving mercy), and staying close to God in everything we do (walking humbly).

When we “act justly,” we stand up for what is fair and treat everyone with respect. “Loving mercy” means we are kind and forgiving, even when it’s hard. And “walking humbly with God” means we remember that God is our guide, and we trust Him to lead us every step of the way.

God doesn’t ask us to do anything complicated or impossible. He wants us to live our lives in a way that shows His love to others. By following this simple path, we’re shining God’s light wherever we go, making the world a better place for everyone.

Justice, Mercy, and Humility Path:

Create a “Justice, Mercy, and Humility Path” at home or in your yard. Use chalk to draw three stepping stones: one for justice, one for mercy, and one for humility. On each stone, write down examples of how you can act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God. Then, take turns walking the path with your family, talking about how you can live out these values every day. This activity helps everyone remember the simple steps God asks us to take.

Time For A Prayer:

Dear God, thank You for showing us what is good. Help us to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with You every day. Give us the courage to do what is right, the kindness to forgive, and the humility to follow Your guidance. May our lives reflect Your love and bring peace to those around us. Amen.

Keep walking the path, Faith Force Justice Journeyers! Until our next Divine Dispatch, remember that God’s way is simple but powerful. Let’s act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with Him, making each step count on our journey with God.
