Together in Jesus: Finding God's Presence When We Gather
Verse Of The Day:
"For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them." (Matthew 18:20)
Imagine you and your friends getting together to pray, talk about Jesus, or even sing songs of worship. Guess what? Jesus is right there with you! In Matthew 18:20, Jesus promises that whenever two or more people gather in His name, He is with them. That means whether you’re at home, church, or school, if you come together to talk about Jesus or pray, He’s there.
Jesus loves when we gather with others to talk about Him, pray, and encourage each other in faith. It’s like having a friend who never leaves your side, always listening and helping when you gather in His name. Even when it’s just two or three people, Jesus promises His presence will be right there, filling the room with His love and peace.
When we come together in Jesus’ name, amazing things can happen—our faith grows stronger, our friendships get deeper, and we feel more connected to God. Whether you’re in a big group or just with a friend, Jesus is always with you when you seek Him together.
Jesus Circle Craft:
Create a “Jesus Circle” craft! Cut out a large circle from paper or cardboard and write “Jesus” in the center. Around the circle, write the names of family members, friends, or people you gather with in Jesus’ name. Decorate the circle with words like “Pray,” “Worship,” and “Faith.” Hang the circle somewhere special to remind yourself that whenever you gather with others to talk about Jesus, He is there with you. This craft helps kids understand that Jesus is always present when they come together in His name.
Time For A Prayer:
Dear Jesus, thank You for being with us when we gather in Your name. Help us to remember that You are always near, whether we are with many people or just a few. Teach us to love and encourage one another as we gather, knowing that You are always there to listen and guide us. Amen.
