Got It Free? Give It Free!
Welcome, Faith Force Free Givers! Today, we’re learning God’s simple rule about giving, as shared in Matthew 10:8.
Verse Of The Day:
"Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give." (Matthew 10:8)
Have you ever received an amazing gift that you didn’t have to pay for or earn? Jesus gives His disciples a powerful rule about how to treat others!
Jesus tells His disciples to heal sick people, help those who are suffering, and do amazing miracles. But then He gives them the most important instruction: “Freely you have received; freely give.” This means – you didn’t pay for God’s gifts to you, so don’t charge others when you help them! You received everything free from God, so give everything free to others!
Think about everything God gave you completely free – His love, forgiveness, salvation, family, talents, abilities, and so much more! You didn’t earn any of it. You didn’t pay for it. God gave it all to you freely because He loves you.
Now here’s the rule: Since you got everything free from God, you should give freely to others! Don’t be stingy or selfish with what you have. Don’t help people and then expect them to pay you back or owe you something. Give the same way God gave to you – freely and generously!
It’s like a river – God’s blessings flow freely to you, and then they should flow freely THROUGH you to others. Don’t be a dam that stops the flow!
Freely Received, Freely Give Cycle:
Draw a circle and divide it into four sections like a cycle: “God Gives to Me Free” → “I Receive with Thanks” → “I Give to Others Free” → “They Pass It On Free” → back to the start. This week, think of THREE things you received free from God (love, talents, blessings, family, friends). Now freely give those same things to others – show love without expecting anything back, use your talents to help people for free, share your blessings generously. Keep the cycle going!
Time For A Prayer:
Dear God, thank You for everything You've given us completely free - Your love, forgiveness, and so many blessings! Help us remember that since we freely received, we should freely give. Make us generous people who pass on Your gifts without expecting anything in return. Keep Your blessings flowing through us! Amen.
