The Greatest Servant: Following Jesus’ Example

Welcome, Faith Force Servant Leaders! Today, we’re learning about how Jesus came to serve, not to be served, and how we can follow His example, as shared in Mark 10:45.

Verse Of The Day:

"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." (Mark 10:45)

Mark 10-45 Image

Imagine being the most important person in the room, but instead of demanding attention, you choose to serve others. That’s exactly what Jesus did! Mark 10:45 reminds us that even though Jesus is the Son of God, He came to serve and not to be served. He showed us that true greatness comes from serving others, not from being in charge or seeking glory.

Jesus’ ultimate act of service was giving His life for us, showing the greatest love anyone could ever show. When we serve others with humility and love, we reflect Jesus’ heart and share His kindness with the world. Serving doesn’t always mean doing big things—it can be as simple as helping a friend, listening, or offering a kind word.

Let’s follow Jesus’ example and look for ways to serve others every day, knowing that when we do, we are living out His love and showing the world what true greatness looks like.

Servant’s Heart Craft:

Create a heart-shaped craft with “Servant’s Heart” written on a single-line banner. On the heart, write ways to serve, like “Help a Friend,” “Share,” and “Be Kind.” Decorate it with bright, loving colors to symbolize Jesus’ heart of service.

Time For A Prayer:

Dear Jesus, thank You for showing us what true greatness looks like through Your service and sacrifice. Help us to live with servant hearts, putting others first and showing Your love through our actions. Teach us to serve with humility every day. Amen.

Keep serving with love, Faith Force Servant Leaders! Until our next Divine Dispatch, remember that true greatness comes from serving others, just like Jesus did. Let’s reflect His heart and serve everyone we meet.
