Love Like God: Showing Kindness to All
Verse Of The Day:
"But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful." (Luke 6:35-36)

Imagine giving a gift to someone who has been unkind to you. It may feel difficult, but Jesus teaches us that real love isn’t just for our friends—it’s for everyone, even those who may not treat us well. Luke 6:35-36 reminds us that God shows mercy and kindness to everyone, and He calls us to do the same.
Loving our enemies doesn’t mean we let them hurt us, but it does mean choosing kindness over revenge, forgiveness over bitterness, and patience over frustration. When we treat others with love, expecting nothing in return, we reflect the heart of our Heavenly Father. His love is limitless, and He wants us to spread that same love, even to those who may not deserve it.
Let’s commit to showing kindness and mercy in every situation, even when it’s hard. By loving the way God loves, we become true children of the Most High, shining His light in a world that needs it.
Mercy Bridge Craft:
Create a bridge craft with “Be Merciful” written on the banner. Add stepping stones labeled “Forgive,” “Love,” and “Do Good.” Decorate the bridge with bright colors and symbols of peace as a reminder to show mercy to everyone.
Time For A Prayer:
Dear God, thank You for showing us what real love and mercy look like. Help us to love others, even when it’s hard, and to be kind to everyone, just as You are. Teach us to reflect Your mercy in our words and actions. Amen.
