Truth Finders: Freedom Through Godâs Truth
Verse Of The Day:
"Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." (John 8:32)
Imagine being caught in a tangled web, feeling stuck and unable to move. But then, someone comes along and cuts through the web, setting you free! Thatâs what Godâs truth does for usâit untangles the lies, confusion, and wrong ideas that sometimes trap us, and it helps us live in freedom.
In John 8:32, Jesus teaches us that knowing the truth is powerful. The truth isnât just about facts or informationâitâs about knowing God, His Word, and His love for us. When we understand who God is and what He teaches, we are set free from the things that try to hold us back, like fear, sin, or doubt.
Godâs truth helps us see the world clearly and make good choices. It shows us how much He loves us and the amazing plans He has for us. When we live in the truth, we arenât weighed down by the wrong things anymoreâwe can walk confidently in Godâs light and freedom!
Truth Chains Breaker:
Create a “Truth Chains Breaker” activity! Using strips of paper, make a paper chain, and on each link, write down things that can keep us trapped, like “Fear,” “Lies,” “Sin,” or “Doubt.” Then, write Bible truths on different strips of paper, such as “God loves me,” “Jesus sets me free,” or “I am forgiven.” One by one, break the “chains” by tearing them apart and replacing them with the truth strips, creating a new chain made of Godâs truth. This activity helps kids understand how Godâs truth frees us from the things that try to keep us trapped.
Time For A Prayer:
Dear Jesus, thank You for teaching us the truth that sets us free. Help us to always know and trust in Your Word, so we can walk in the freedom Youâve given us. Show us when lies or fear try to trap us, and lead us to Your truth that brings us peace and joy. May we live in Your light every day. Amen.
