Heroes Who Believe Without Seeing
Have you ever wished you could see something with your own eyes before believing it? Thomas did too – but Jesus taught him something amazing about faith that still speaks to us today!
What Does This Mean?
Thomas was one of Jesus’s closest friends, and when people told him Jesus had risen from the dead, he said he wouldn’t believe it unless he could touch Jesus’s hands himself. Jesus appeared and let Thomas see – but then He said something incredible: people who believe without seeing get a special blessing. Faith means trusting God even when we can’t see everything with our eyes. That kind of trust takes real courage!
Hero Challenge
This week, practice believing in something you can’t see. Write down one promise from the Bible that you’re going to trust God for – even before you see it happen. Read it aloud every morning and thank God for keeping His promises!
Did You Know?
Thomas is often called “Doubting Thomas,” but did you know that he later became one of the boldest missionaries ever? History tells us Thomas traveled all the way to India to share the good news – pretty amazing for someone who once doubted! His story shows that doubt doesn’t disqualify us; it can be the start of deeper faith.
Ages 4-6: Little Hero Question
Can you think of something you believe in even though you can’t see it right now – like the wind or God’s love?
Ages 7-9: Growing Hero Question
Why do you think Jesus said people who believe without seeing are blessed? What does it feel like to trust someone you love even when you’re not sure?
Ages 10-13: Champion Question
Thomas needed proof before he believed. Are there areas in your own life where you find it hard to trust God without seeing results? What’s one step you can take to grow in faith even in those areas?
♥ Mission Prayer
Lord, help me to be a hero who trusts You even when I can't see the whole picture. Thank You for blessing those who believe — I want to be one of them! Amen.
