Servants Like Jesus: Humility in Serving Others

Welcome, Faith Force Servant Leaders! Today, we’re learning about how Jesus washed His disciples' feet and taught us to serve others with humility, as shared in John 13:14-15.

Verse Of The Day:

"Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you." (John 13:14-15)

Imagine a teacher who not only teaches but also serves their students, humbling themselves to help in every way. That’s what Jesus did! John 13:14-15 reminds us that even though Jesus was the Lord and Teacher, He humbly washed His disciples’ feet as an example of how we should serve one another. Jesus, the King of all, chose to serve with love, humility, and care.

Serving others isn’t about what we can get; it’s about what we can give. Jesus showed us that when we serve with a loving heart, we reflect His character. Whether it’s helping at home, at school, or with friends, we can serve humbly and joyfully, just as Jesus did. When we serve others, we follow His example of love and kindness.

Let’s commit to being servant leaders in our families and communities, showing God’s love through our actions, just as Jesus did for us.

Foot Washing Craft:

Create a paper craft with two feet and write “Serve Like Jesus” on a single-line banner. On the feet, write ways to serve others, such as “Help a Friend,” “Be Kind,” and “Share.” Decorate the feet with bright, loving colors to symbolize Jesus’ humble service.

Time For A Prayer:

Dear Jesus, thank You for showing us what it means to serve others with humility and love. Help us to follow Your example by serving with joy and kindness. Teach us to love others as You love us. Amen.

Keep serving with love, Faith Force Servant Leaders! Until our next Divine Dispatch, remember that serving others is a reflection of God’s love. Let’s live humbly and joyfully as we serve one another!
