Mission Briefing
You Have the Right to Be God’s Child!
What if someone handed you a golden ticket that said, “You are now part of the most amazing family in the universe”? That is basically what happens when you believe in Jesus! John 1:12 tells us something so incredible it can be hard to take in – you can actually become a child of the God who made everything.
What Does John 1:12 Mean?
When someone “receives” Jesus, it means they welcome Him into their life and trust in who He is. The word “believed” here means more than just knowing facts about Jesus – it means trusting Him with your whole heart. And to those people, God gives an amazing gift: the right to be called His very own children. That means God is your Father. You belong to His family forever.
Hero Challenge
Think of one person in your life who may not know they can be part of God’s family. Pray for them by name every day this week, and ask God for a chance to share something encouraging with them. You might be the person God uses to open that door!
Did You Know?
The Gospel of John begins like a grand announcement – almost like the opening of the greatest story ever told. John wanted every reader to understand right from the start that Jesus did not come just for a small group of people. He came so that anyone who believes can join God’s family. The invitation is open to everyone!
