Mission Briefing
You know that feeling at the end of a really long day when your legs are tired, your brain is full, and even your feelings feel worn out? In Jeremiah 31:25, God makes an incredible promise — He says He will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint. That means God sees tired people. He doesn’t just see the ones who are energetic and performing well. He looks right at the person who is running on empty and says, “I’ve got you.”
Think about what it feels like to take a huge drink of cold water on a hot day, or to finally get into bed after being up way too late. That feeling of “ahhhh” — that is what God offers your soul. Not just a quick fix, but real restoration. He knows the difference between rest you get from a nap and rest that goes all the way down into your heart. He gives the kind that actually lasts.
What This Means For You
When you’re exhausted, your first instinct might be to push through, distract yourself, or complain — and that’s pretty human! But God is inviting you to bring your tiredness to Him. Talking to God when you’re worn out isn’t weakness. It’s wisdom. He is the source of the energy and peace that refills you from the inside out, and He loves being the one you run to first.
Mission Activity
Find a comfortable spot — a cosy chair, your bed, or even a soft patch of grass outside. Close your eyes for two full minutes. Breathe slowly. Imagine handing God every tired thing you’re carrying — a test, a friendship, an argument, a worry. Just give it to Him, one thing at a time. When you open your eyes, take a deep breath and say, “Thank You for being my rest.”
♥ Mission Prayer
Dear God, sometimes I get so tired — not just in my body but in my heart too. Thank You that You see me when I'm worn out and You don't tell me to just try harder. You offer real rest. Help me to come to You when I'm exhausted, instead of pushing through on my own. You are the one who truly refreshes me. Amen.
