Mission Briefing

God Has a Plan – and It’s Good!

Have you ever wondered if your life matters? God has a secret – He already has a plan for you, and it’s a really, really good one! Before you were even born, He was thinking about your future. This mission explores Jeremiah 29:11.

What Does Jeremiah 29:11 Mean?

God told the Israelites these words when they were far from home and feeling very sad. He wanted them to know He hadn’t forgotten them – He had a plan to bring them hope and a good future. This promise is still true today. God knows everything about you and wants good things for your life. Even when things feel hard, He is working on something wonderful.

Hero Challenge

This week, write down one thing you are worried about on a piece of paper. Then fold it up and put it in a jar – your “God’s Got This” jar. Every time you add a worry, remind yourself that God already has a plan. At the end of the week, read them and think about how you felt after trusting God with them.

Did You Know?

God spoke these words to His people through the prophet Jeremiah when they were living in a foreign country called Babylon. They had been taken far from their home and felt like everything was ruined. But God sent them a letter – through Jeremiah – to remind them He was still with them and had not forgotten His promises.

Ages 4-6: Little Hero Question

Who makes the plans for your life – you or God? What does it feel like to know God is taking care of you?

Ages 7-9: Growing Hero Question

If God says His plans for you are good, how can that help you feel better when something goes wrong or doesn’t turn out the way you hoped?

Ages 10-13: Champion Question

Jeremiah 29:11 was written to people going through a really tough time. How does knowing that God spoke this promise during hard times change the way you read it? How can you trust His plan even when you can’t see it yet?

♥ Mission Prayer

God, thank You for having good plans for my life. Help me trust You even when things feel scary or uncertain. I believe You are working on something wonderful for my future. Amen.
