19 October 2025 · Hero Mission
Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.
Isaiah 1:18

Mission Briefing

From Scarlet to Snow White

Imagine spilling bright red paint all over a brand-new white shirt. It seems impossible to get out, right? God says that no matter how stained your life has become, He can make it completely clean – whiter than snow! This mission explores Isaiah 1:18.

What Does Isaiah 1:18 Mean?

Isaiah is sharing God’s invitation to His people who had drifted far from Him. God is not yelling at them – He is inviting them to come and reason with Him, to talk it through. And then He makes one of the most stunning promises in the whole Bible: sins that are as deep and stubborn as scarlet dye can be made as white and clean as fresh snow. No stain is permanent with God.

Hero Challenge

Get a white piece of paper and write or draw something that represents a mistake or struggle you have been carrying. Then fold it up and hold it while you pray, asking God to make you clean. Afterward, write “WHITE AS SNOW” over the top in white crayon or marker as a reminder of what He promises to do.

Did You Know?

In the ancient world, scarlet and crimson dye were some of the most permanent, expensive dyes you could find. Once fabric was dyed scarlet, it was nearly impossible to undo. God chose these colors on purpose – He was saying: even the things that seem impossible to fix, I can clean completely. Nothing is too stained for Him.

Ages 4-6: Little Hero Question

Have you ever had a really bad stain on your clothes? What would it be like if it magically turned bright white? That is a little like what God does with our mistakes!

Ages 7-9: Growing Hero Question

God says “come now, let us reason together.” Why do you think God invites us to come and talk with Him instead of just telling us what to do?

Ages 10-13: Champion Question

Isaiah was written during a time when Israel had seriously turned away from God. Yet God opened with an invitation, not a punishment. What does that tell you about God’s heart toward people who have wandered far? How does it change the way you think about your own story?
