Verse Of The Day:
"For anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his." (Hebrews 4:10)
Imagine finishing a big project, like building a fort or completing a puzzle, and then sitting back to relax and enjoy what you’ve done. That feeling of peace and satisfaction is a little like the rest that God offers us. In Hebrews 4:10, we learn that God wants us to enter His perfect rest—a rest that goes beyond just taking a break, but one that refreshes our souls.
God’s rest is more than just stopping work. It’s about trusting in Him completely and knowing that He has everything under control. When we trust in God and follow His ways, we can let go of our worries and find true peace. It’s like laying down our burdens and resting in God’s loving arms, knowing that He will take care of everything.
Just as God rested after creating the world, He invites us to enter that same kind of rest. When we rest in God, we’re not just resting our bodies, but our hearts and minds as well. It’s a time to connect with God, feel His peace, and renew our strength for the journey ahead.
Rest Rock Craft:
Create a “Rest Rock” at home! Find a small, smooth rock and decorate it with symbols of peace, like a dove, a cross, or words like “Peace” and “Trust.” Each night before bed, hold your Rest Rock and say a prayer, asking God to help you enter His rest. Let this rock be a reminder that God’s rest is always available to you, no matter what you’re facing. This craft helps kids focus on finding peace in God’s presence and trusting Him with their worries.

Dear God, thank You for offering us Your perfect rest. Help us to trust in You completely and to enter the rest You have prepared for us. Teach us to lay down our worries and to find peace in Your presence. May Your rest refresh our hearts and minds, giving us the strength to follow You every day. Amen.
