Faith – Believing Without Seeing!
Have you ever believed in something you couldn’t touch or see? That’s exactly what faith is – and the Bible says it’s one of the most powerful things in the universe! Let’s find out what real faith looks like!
What Does This Mean?
“Assurance” means being completely sure about something. “Conviction” means a deep, unshakeable belief. So faith means being completely sure about things you’re hoping God will do, and deeply believing in things you can’t physically see – like God Himself, heaven, or His promises. Faith isn’t blind guessing – it’s trusting in a God who has always kept His word, even when we can’t see exactly how He’s working!
Hero Challenge
Write down one thing you are hoping for that only God can do. Then each day this week, pray about it and add one reason you trust God to come through – a promise from the Bible or something He’s done before. Watch your faith grow as your list grows!
Did You Know?
Hebrews 11 is called the “Faith Hall of Fame” – it lists people like Abraham, Moses, and Rahab who all believed God even when they couldn’t see the full picture. Each of them stepped out in faith and God showed up in amazing ways. You can be part of that same story!
Ages 4-6: Little Hero Question
Can you see the wind? Can you feel it? Faith in God is like that – we can’t see Him, but we can feel His love! Can you think of a time you felt God’s love?
Ages 7-9: Growing Hero Question
What is something you believe about God that you can’t see with your eyes? How do you know it’s true?
Ages 10-13: Champion Question
Hebrews 11:1 defines faith as both assurance and conviction. Why do you think both of those are important? Can you have one without the other?
♥ Mission Prayer
Lord, grow my faith! Help me to believe in Your promises even when I can't see them yet. I trust that You are at work, even in the things I don't understand. My faith is in You! Amen.
