Galatians 6:2
Burden Lifters: Helping Each Other with Love
Verse Of The Day:
"Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." (Galatians 6:2)

Have you ever tried to lift something really heavy by yourself? It can be tough! But when someone comes along to help, suddenly it feels a lot easier. In Galatians 6:2, we learn that God wants us to help each other with the heavy things in life. When we do, we’re following Jesus’ example of love.
Everyone has burdens—things that are hard to carry alone, like worries, problems, or even feelings of sadness. When we help others with their burdens, whether it’s by being a good friend, listening, or lending a hand, we’re showing them God’s love. It’s like we’re lifting a big, heavy rock together, making it lighter for everyone.
Jesus taught us to love one another, and one of the best ways to do that is by being there for each other. When we carry each other’s burdens, we’re not only making life easier for our friends and family, but we’re also growing closer to God and showing the world what His love looks like.
Burden Basket:
Create a “Burden Basket” at home. Find a small basket and place it in a central spot where everyone can see it. Throughout the week, write down any burdens or worries you’re carrying on small pieces of paper and place them in the basket. At the end of the week, gather together as a family and read the burdens out loud. Then, talk about how you can help each other carry those burdens. Afterward, pray together, asking God to help lighten the load. This activity reminds us that we don’t have to carry our burdens alone—God and our loved ones are always there to help.
Time For A Prayer:
Dear Jesus, thank You for teaching us to carry each other’s burdens with love. Help us to be kind and caring, always ready to lend a hand to those who need it. Give us the strength to share our own burdens and to support others, just as You support us every day. Amen.
