Mission Briefing
Truth Builds the Team
Think about your favorite team or group – what would happen if everyone started lying to each other? It would fall apart fast! Paul explains why honesty isn’t just a good idea – it’s what holds God’s people together. This mission explores Ephesians 4:25.
What Does Ephesians 4:25 Mean?
“Put away falsehood” means actively getting rid of lies – not just avoiding big lies, but putting away sneaky half-truths too. When Paul says “we are members one of another,” he’s comparing God’s people to a body. Your hand and foot need to send accurate signals to each other to work properly. When we lie, it’s like sending bad signals – it messes up the whole body! Truthful words keep God’s family strong and healthy.
Hero Challenge
This week, pay attention to moments when it would be easier to stretch the truth – maybe to avoid trouble or impress a friend. Choose honesty instead, even when it’s hard. Notice how it feels to tell the truth and stick with it.
Did You Know?
Ephesians 4 is Paul’s big chapter about how people in God’s family should live together. He had already explained all the amazing things God has done for us – and now he says, “Because of that, here’s how we live.” Honesty isn’t a rule we follow to earn God’s love; it’s how we live because we already have it.

Ages 10-13: Champion Question
Paul says we’re all “members of one another” – how does that idea make honesty feel more important than just a personal rule?
