Grace Gifts: The Power of Forgiveness
Verse Of The Day:
"In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace." (Ephesians 1:7)
Imagine you’re playing a game, and you accidentally knock over a friend’s favorite toy. You feel terrible, but your friend smiles and says, “It’s okay, I forgive you.” That’s a little like the forgiveness God offers us. Ephesians 1:7 tells us about Jesus’ amazing gift: because of His sacrifice, we can be forgiven for our mistakes and wrong choices.
God’s grace is like a never-ending treasure chest full of kindness and love. No matter what we’ve done, when we say sorry and mean it, God forgives us completely. It’s like a fresh start, and it’s all because of Jesus’ great love for us. This verse teaches us that forgiveness is a powerful and special gift we receive from God. It’s also a reminder that we can share this gift with others, just like we share our toys or snacks, by forgiving them when they make mistakes.
Forgiveness Box:
Create a “Forgiveness Box” with your family. Each time someone forgives another, write a note about what happened and how it felt to forgive or be forgiven. Decorate the box with words like “Grace,” “Love,” and “Kindness.” At the end of the week, gather as a family, read the notes, and thank God for His amazing grace. This helps us remember the joy of forgiveness and how it strengthens our bonds with each other.

Dear Jesus, thank You for Your amazing gift of forgiveness. Help us to understand the power of Your grace and to share it with others by forgiving them, just as You forgive us. May we always remember that Your love is endless and that we are redeemed through Your sacrifice. Amen.
