Mission Briefing
Finish Your Mission!
Imagine being on the most important mission in the world – one given to you personally by God! That’s exactly how the apostle Paul felt, and he was determined to finish it no matter what stood in his way! This mission explores Acts 20:24.
What Does Acts 20:24 Mean?
Paul is saying that completing the mission God gave him matters more than his own comfort or even his own safety. He used the image of a race – a “course” he was meant to finish. His mission was to tell people about Jesus and God’s amazing grace. Paul’s words remind us that each of us also has a purpose God has given us – and finishing that purpose is one of the greatest things we can do with our lives!
Hero Challenge
Ask a parent or trusted adult: “What do you think God made me good at?” Then this week, use that gift to help or encourage at least one person. Every act of kindness is part of finishing your God-given mission!
Did You Know?
Paul said this while on his way to Jerusalem, even though people had warned him he would face danger there. He didn’t turn back! Paul eventually finished his course faithfully, and his letters are still changing lives all around the world today – that’s an amazing legacy!
