Restored in Christ: Seeing Others as Family

Welcome, Faith Force Restorers! Today, we’re learning about how Jesus brings people together and makes us part of God’s family, as shared in Philemon 1:15-16.

Verse Of The Day:

"Perhaps the reason he was separated from you for a little while was that you might have him back forever—no longer as a slave, but better than a slave, as a dear brother. He is very dear to me but even dearer to you, both as a fellow man and as a brother in the Lord." (Philemon 1:15-16)

Imagine losing something special, only to have it returned to you even better than before! That’s what happened in Philemon’s story. Paul reminded him that Onesimus, who had once been his servant, was now more than that—he was a brother in Christ! This shows us that when we follow Jesus, our relationships change. We are no longer just friends or neighbors—we are family in God’s kingdom!

God’s love doesn’t see people as less or more important—everyone is valuable. No matter what mistakes someone has made, Jesus restores relationships and brings people together. He teaches us to treat each other with love, forgiveness, and respect because we are all part of His family forever.

Let’s live as brothers and sisters in Christ, welcoming others with kindness, forgiving easily, and seeing everyone through God’s eyes of love.

Family in Christ Puzzle Craft:

Create a puzzle with “God’s Family” written on a single-line banner at the top. Each puzzle piece represents a person and has words like “Forgiveness,” “Love,” and “Unity.” Decorate it with bright colors to remind yourself that Jesus makes us one family.

Time For A Prayer:

Dear God, thank You for bringing us together as one family in Christ. Help us to treat others with love, kindness, and respect, just as You do. Teach us to welcome and forgive, seeing everyone as a brother or sister in You. Amen.

Keep building God’s family, Faith Force Restorers! Until our next Divine Dispatch, remember that through Jesus, we are more than just friends—we are family forever. Let’s love and treat each other like God’s children!
