Humble Servants: Following Jesus’ Example

Welcome, Faith Force Humble Servants! Today, we’re learning about Jesus’ humility and how we can follow His example, as shared in Philippians 2:7-8.

Verse Of The Day:

"Rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!" (Philippians 2:7-8)

Philippians 2-7-8 Image

Imagine a mighty king who steps off his throne to serve others with kindness and love. That’s what Jesus did! Philippians 2:7-8 shows us how Jesus, though He is God, chose to become human and live as a servant. He humbled Himself completely, even giving His life on the cross to save us.

Jesus’ humility teaches us to put others first, to serve with love, and to obey God’s plan even when it’s hard. When we follow Jesus’ example, we show the world His incredible love and grace. Let’s strive to live with humility and serve others joyfully, just as Jesus served us.

Create a "Servant Heart Crown" at home!

Use paper or cardboard to make a crown, and write “Humble Like Jesus” on the front. Around the crown, write words like “Serve,” “Love,” and “Obey.” Decorate it with hearts and simple designs to remind you of Jesus’ humble example. Wear the crown as a symbol of choosing to serve others with love and kindness. This craft helps kids understand the importance of humility and service.

Time For A Prayer:

Dear Jesus, thank You for showing us how to live with humility and love. Help us to follow Your example by serving others and putting their needs before our own. Teach us to be obedient to God’s plan and to share Your love through our actions every day. Amen.

Keep serving humbly, Faith Force Humble Servants! Until our next Divine Dispatch, remember that Jesus showed us the ultimate example of love and humility. Let’s follow His footsteps and live with servant hearts!
